Siobhan Southam (Strategic Engagement Leader, digital ECMT) gave a presentation about ‘Technology clinical trials: innovation in care pathways for clinical development’. Siobhan emphasised the importance of engaging with patients, research nurses and clinical teams as early as possible to co-create solutions with them.  We are fortunate to work closely with colleagues in the Experimental Cancer Medicine Team (ECMT) at The Christie who embrace doing things differently to achieve patient benefit.

Our colleague, Donna Graham (Medical Oncology Consultant, ECMT, The Christie / Honorary Clinical,  The University of Manchester Lecturer) presented on ‘The role of the investigator and how to Pharma/CRO support investigators to maintain investigator engagement and decrease the burden’. Donna highlighted that the key to a successful partnership is good communication.
